MICRONEEDLING

MICRONEEDLING

SERVING THE WASHINGTON & ST. GEORGE, UT AREA

Microneedling is an exciting non-surgical skin rejuvenating procedure in St. George, UT. Riverside Medical Arts is pleased to offer this innovative treatment for men and women who wish to correct skin imperfections and have smoother, younger-looking skin.

Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses an automated microneedling technology which makes use of fine needle penetration to promote the surfacing of newer, healthier skin and get rid of the old, damaged skin.

Basically, skin needling involves the creation of small wounds into the skin which promotes new skin cells and an increase in collagen production. Specifically, the microneedling device works by stimulating your skin’s natural ability to repair itself by creating thousands of precise micro-wounds in the dermis and triggers tissue remodeling without causing scar tissue formation.

Our Microneedling Devices have variable depth settings and its cordless design allows Riverside Medical Arts experience skincare specialist to adjust the treatment based on the patient’s skin condition, different skin thickness of the face and the desired level of skin rejuvenation.

The Microneedling treatment corrects different skin imperfections, which include lip wrinkles, superficial facial wrinkles, large pores, acne or trauma scars, and pigmentation problems. Also, microneedling is used to help increase the skin’s ability to absorb skin care products.

During your appointment, you may either be given light penetration, mid-penetration, or deeper levels of penetration, depending on the condition of your skin and your desired aesthetic skin rejuvenation goals.

Light penetration is usually done to make other skin care processes become more effective. This includes skin lightening, pore tightening, hydration, and texture treatments.

Mid-penetration can effectively treat superficial sun damage as well as light scarring, improving skin texture and minimizing pore size.

Deeper penetration is able to address acne scars, and even burn scars.

A day after your treatment, you will likely experience redness or erythema in the treated area, the extent of which depends on how aggressive the procedure was delivered. Swelling may occur during the second day as the skin develops a pink to red shade. On the third day, most of our patients report a subsiding of the pink color. Our skin care experts at Riverside Medical Arts will provide you with more specific aftercare instructions to promote healing.
