What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy?

PRP, or as is casually known, the “vampire facelift” is an effective treatment that uses scientific technology to process your own blood. The PRP process takes a small amount of your blood which is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the various components in your blood. The red and white blood cells are divided and plasma cells are isolated producing platelet rich plasma (PRP).

Once the enriched plasma is injected back into the targeted facial areas, your body naturally releases growth healing proteins, which promotes collagen to naturally smooth out your skin. Through the promotion of your body’s collagen, tissue is regenerated and a smoother, more firm skin texture is achieved.

PRP therapy has been used by many medical specialists including pain management doctors and orthopedists to aid in healing injuries.
