Serving the Washington & St. George, UT area
Many of our patients in St. George, UT have resorted to Xeomin® as a treatment for fine lines and wrinkles on the face. We at Riverside Medical Arts are committed to providing high quality care to all our patients, regardless of the treatment desired.
What is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is an injection derived from the bacteria that is responsible for botulism called incobotulinumtoxinA. This type of toxin has the ability to block any nerve activity that happens in the muscles, which is why the treatment is used to temporarily reduce muscle activity in the face that causes fine lines and wrinkles to appear.
What does Xeomin® treat?
Xeomin® is injected by our providers at Riverside Medical Arts for the correction of moderate to severe frown lines found between the eyebrows. Furthermore, it is used as a treatment for other unwanted signs of aging such as forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet, or the lines branching out from the corners of the eyes.
What happens during your initial consultation?
Before undergoing treatment, it is necessary to have an initial consultation with a medical professional. During this time, make sure to inform your provider of any medications you are currently taking as they may interfere with the success of the treatment later on. Moreover, tell your provider if you have any medical conditions, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS, myasthenia gravis, swallowing problems, bleeding problems, or any heart disease.
What can I expect during my Xeomin® session?
Xeomin is administered by injecting it directly to the affected area in the face. It is important to get treated by professionals and qualified providers such as our experts at Riverside Medical Arts. Sessions are usually at least three months apart.
What can I expect from my Xeomin® treatment?
The results from a Xeomin® treatment are only temporary and may last between 3 to 6 months. To maintain the effects, you may get repeat injections.
